The Kruger Big Assist
We’re excited to share that the Kruger Big Assist program is back for its fifth season, and our hockey association could receive up to $100,000!
Once again, Kruger Products will award five minor hockey associations with a $25,000 grant (one per geographic region), to help make the game more accessible and inclusive. Each regional recipient will then have the opportunity to receive an additional $75,000 Grand Prize; meaning your association could receive up to $100,000!
For the second consecutive season, the public will play a role in determining the Grand Prize winner by voting for the regional recipient they believe best demonstrates a commitment to removing more barriers to provide greater access to the game. Voting will take place in April.
With the 2025 investment, the Kruger Big Assist has committed $1 Million to over 50 hockey associations across Canada, with 15 recipients being from Ontario.
A 2024 Big Assist recipient, St. Catharines CYO Minor Hockey League, used their donation to support over 60 kids through their ‘Take a Shot’ program. The program offers an inclusive environment to learn the game, while also equipping them with new gear. With the donation, the association will cover registration fees for new players to join the program, as well as offset fees to retain players who wish to remain in this safe and inclusive hockey environment.
The association will also use a portion of their donation to help discount the costs for over 50 players through their Special Needs program, which provides hockey programming to players with physical and intellectual disabilities.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE:
Nominating your association only takes a few minutes through a brief written description. Association executives, volunteers, coaches and parents are all encouraged to nominate. Nominations will be accepted until February 10, 2025.

To celebrate the milestone of our fifth season, Canadians can also purchase specially marked Kruger Products packs to receive a limited-edition toque and join the Big Assist movement. Toques will be available between January 1 and February 28, and can be redeemed by uploading your receipt at krugerbigassist.ca.
